Key Responsibilities
- Function independently under general guidance of unit leadership, adhering to department guidelines, protocols, and policies
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency room environment, demonstrating critical thinking and sound clinical judgment
- Utilize time management, communication, planning, delegation, and problem-solving skills to deliver safe, effective patient care
- Maintain emotional stability and composure in high-acuity and emergency situations
- Participate in triage and cardiac room care as applicable to unit needs
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of current Emergency Room nursing experience
- Active Massachusetts RN License
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification
- Active American Heart Association ACLS certification
- Active American Heart Association PALS certification
- Must have personal reliable transportation
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ED Triage and/or Cardiac Room experience (candidates with this background will receive first consideration)
- IV Certification
- Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR system
- ENPC and/or CEN certification; BSN degree
