Contract | Travel | Days | 13-Week Assignment | 36 Hours per Week Guaranteed | Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Every Other Weekend / As Needed | Projected Start: June 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit serving patients of all ages
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using Cerner EHR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate and deliver quality patient outcomes
- Respond to call requirements and float to other units as needed
- Adhere to facility dress code and maintain a professional standard of conduct at all times
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure valid in the state of North Carolina
- Minimum 1–2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry (MST) experience
- Current BLS certification
- Current CPI, HWC, or MAB certification
- Current NIH Stroke Scale certification
- Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify as a travel placement
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a Joint Commission Accredited facility or Primary Stroke Center environment
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system
- Demonstrated ability to work professionally in a fast-paced, multi-specialty acute care setting
