Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 34-bed Medical/Surgical and Surgical Services unit with a 6:1 patient ratio
- Perform and assist with procedures including total joint and spine surgeries
- Operate and monitor traction equipment as required by patient care needs
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses and patient care technicians across day and night shifts
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Meditech EMR
- Adhere to unit guidelines including spine, hip, and joint precaution protocols
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital Med/Surg or Orthopedic experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency with Meditech EMR or ability to quickly adapt to the platform
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Familiarity with traction equipment and management
- Experience with spine, hip, and joint precaution protocols
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Outgoing, compassionate team player with strong interpersonal skills
