Contract | Night Shift | 36 hours per week | 12-hour shifts | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Assumes responsibility and accountability for a designated group of patients throughout the shift, applying the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care
- Prescribes and delivers nursing care consistent with the medical plan of care, incorporating input from patients and significant others
- Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary health care team members to coordinate patient care delivery across applicable age groups
- Incorporates patient teaching and discharge planning into the overall plan of care
- Delegates appropriate aspects of patient care to other nursing staff based on clinical competence and legal scope of practice
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required at time of hire
- Demonstrated competency in Dysrhythmia recognition required during orientation
- EPIC experience within the last 12 months is required; recent Cerner experience is also required
- Each work history entry must include the charting system used; no time-off requests will be considered and the start date is firm
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Previous acute care facility experience
