Contract | Days | Full-Time | 36 hours per week | 12-hour shifts | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility and accountability for a group of patients throughout a designated shift, prescribing nursing care based on the nursing process and consistent with the medical plan of care.
- Collaborate with physicians and members of the healthcare team to coordinate delivery of patient care across applicable age groups including neonatal, infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Incorporate patient and family teaching as well as discharge planning needs into the overall plan of care.
- Delegate aspects of patient care delivery to other nursing staff based on clinical competence and legal scope of practice.
- Document patient care activities accurately using EPIC electronic health record system.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification required.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 6 months of hire.
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required within 6 months of hire; Advanced Fetal Monitoring required within 1 year of hire.
- EPIC experience within the last 12 months required; recent Cerner experience also required.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Acute care facility experience preferred.
