Key Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility and accountability for a designated group of patients throughout the assigned shift
- Prescribe and implement nursing care based on the nursing process, consistent with the medical plan of care and informed by patient and family input
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary health care team members to coordinate and deliver patient care across applicable age groups
- Incorporate patient teaching and discharge planning into the overall plan of care
- Delegate appropriate aspects of patient care to other nursing staff in accordance with their clinical competence and legal scope of practice
- Utilize the EPIC electronic health record system for clinical documentation throughout the shift
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS, HS-BLS, or RQI BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS, HS-ACLS, or RQI ACLS) certification required at time of hire
- Demonstrated competency in Dysrhythmia interpretation required
- EPIC experience within the last 12 months required
- Recent Cerner experience required; each work history entry must identify the charting system used
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Acute care facility experience
