Registered Nurse – Neuro ICU (Level 3)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Rotating Shifts (Days, Evenings, Nights) | Onsite | Holidays, On-Call, Callback, and Charge duties per unit needs
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill neurological patients in a 12-bed intensive care unit
- Manage patients with diagnoses including traumatic brain injury, aneurysm, status epilepticus, stroke, and other critical neurologic pathologies
- Deliver a high degree of specialized nursing and medical care requiring advanced critical thinking and clinical judgment
- Perform telemetry monitoring and interpretation as required by patient acuity
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities as determined by unit needs
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license – NY license required
- Minimum of two (2) years of RN experience in an ICU acute care setting
- Telemetry experience required
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
- BLS certification through American Heart Association only
- ACLS certification through American Heart Association only
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience caring for neurocritical care patients
- Demonstrated ability to remain current in critical care knowledge and best practices
