Contract | Full-Time | Days | 36 hours per week | 12-hour shifts | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility and accountability for a group of patients throughout a designated shift
- Prescribe and implement nursing care based on the nursing process, consistent with the medical plan of care and patient/family input
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate delivery of patient care across applicable age groups
- Incorporate patient teaching and discharge planning into the overall plan of care
- Delegate appropriate aspects of patient care to other nursing staff based on clinical competence and legal scope of practice
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required at time of hire
- Demonstrated competency in Dysrhythmia during orientation (all departments except Obstetrics and NICU)
- EPIC experience within the last 12 months required; recent Cerner experience also required
- Each submitted work history entry must identify the charting system used
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Prior acute care facility experience
