Contract | Days | Full-Time | 36 hours per week | 12-hour shifts | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility and accountability for a group of patients during a designated shift, prescribing nursing care based on the nursing process and consistent with the medical plan of care.
- Collaborate with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to coordinate delivery of patient care across applicable age groups.
- Incorporate patient and family input, teaching, and discharge planning needs into the overall plan of care.
- Delegate aspects of patient care delivery to other nursing staff based on clinical competence and legal scope of practice.
- Document and chart all patient care activities accurately within the electronic health record system.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required at time of hire.
- Demonstrated competency in Dysrhythmia required during orientation.
- EPIC experience within the last 12 months is required; recent Cerner experience is also required.
- Each work history entry must identify the charting system used.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Previous acute care facility experience preferred.
