Key Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility and accountability for a designated group of patients during assigned shift, providing care consistent with the nursing process and medical plan of care
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary health care team members to coordinate and deliver patient care across applicable age groups
- Prescribe and implement individualized nursing care plans incorporating patient and family input, teaching needs, and discharge planning
- Delegate appropriate aspects of patient care to other nursing staff based on clinical competence and legal scope of practice
- Demonstrate competency in IV sedation and dysrhythmia management as required for PACU setting
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required at time of hire
- PALS certification required within 1 year of hire
- Demonstrated competency in IV Sedation within 6 months of hire
- EPIC experience within the last 12 months and recent Cerner experience required; charting system must be documented for each work history entry
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Acute care facility experience
