Contract | Nights | 36 hours per week | 12-hour shifts | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients throughout a designated shift, prescribing nursing care consistent with the medical plan of care
- Collaborates with physicians and members of the healthcare team to coordinate delivery of patient care across all age groups
- Incorporates patient and family teaching as well as discharge planning into the overall plan of care
- Delegates aspects of patient care delivery to other nursing staff based on clinical competence and legal scope of practice
- Utilizes the EPIC electronic health record system for documentation and clinical workflows as part of an EPIC conversion project
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of California
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required at time of hire
- Demonstrated competency in Dysrhythmia during orientation
- EPIC experience within the last 12 months required; recent Cerner experience also required
- Each work history entry must identify the charting system used
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Acute care facility experience
- Familiarity with multiple electronic health record platforms
