Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (0645–0715) | 12-Hour Shifts | 3–4 Weekend Shifts per 28-Day Schedule
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed LDR unit, including triage, pre-op for C-sections, OR, and PACU settings
- Manage high-risk obstetric patients, including those on Magnesium or insulin drips, adhering to 1:1 staffing ratios as required
- Follow patients through the full continuum of care for scheduled C-sections from pre-op through sign-off
- Perform and support procedures including external versions and second-trimester cerclages (day shift only)
- Utilize fetal surveillance systems and electronic health record platforms for accurate, timely documentation
- Administer medications and maintain compliance with unit protocols and AWHONN staffing standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in the State of California
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Labor & Delivery setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications issued through the American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification or equivalent
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Meditech (PCS and ORM modules) and OBIX fetal surveillance systems
- Familiarity with Pyxis medication administration systems and Solaris IV pumps
- Experience caring for high-risk obstetric populations, including diabetic patients
