Contract | Nights | 36 hours per week | 12-hour shifts | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility and accountability for a designated group of patients throughout the assigned shift
- Prescribe and deliver nursing care based on the nursing process, consistent with the medical plan of care and patient/family input
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary health care team members to coordinate patient care delivery across applicable age groups
- Incorporate patient teaching and discharge planning into the overall plan of care
- Delegate appropriate aspects of patient care to other nursing staff based on clinical competence and legal scope of practice
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 6 months of hire
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required within 6 months of hire; Advanced Fetal Monitoring required within 1 year of hire
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Acute care facility experience
- Recent experience with Cerner electronic health records system
