Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to laboring, postpartum, and high-risk OB patients in an LDRP setting, including couplet care of mother and newborn during the initial postpartum period
- Manage and titrate drips including Magnesium Sulfate, Pitocin, and Insulin (when applicable for transfer patients)
- Respond to and implement protocols for hypertensive crisis and hemorrhage
- Serve as newborn nurse during cesarean sections, including newborn stabilization
- Manage laboring patients autonomously, particularly during night and weekend shifts when OB providers are on-call rather than in-house
- Assist with floating duties as needed in a support or safety attendant capacity
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of LDRP experience; strong recent Labor and Delivery experience required, with some LDRP or postpartum experience within the last few years
- Active BLS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required
- AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required
- Proficiency with Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM); experience with Centricity preferred
- Ability to work comfortably and independently in a low-volume, autonomous environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Epic EMR
- Familiarity with AWHONN staffing guidelines and ratio standards
- Experience caring for high-risk OB patients including induction management and hemorrhage response
