Key Responsibilities
- Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
- Provide direct nursing care to oncology and hematology patients, including those with central venous access devices (CVADs).
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using the EPIC electronic medical records system.
- Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed.
- Fulfill required holiday coverage, including working 1–2 of the following: Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.
Required Qualifications
- Active Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) state license required.
- Minimum of 2 years of previous RN experience required.
- At least 1 completed travel nursing contract required.
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR required.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
- Valid driver's license required.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience caring for oncology and hematology patients, including those with CVADs.
- Familiarity with travel nursing submission requirements, including skills checklists completed within the past year.
