Key Responsibilities
- Perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all aspects of patient care within scope of practice
- Provide patient and family education tailored to individual needs
- Transcribe, utilize, and implement protocols and physician orders accurately
- Coordinate the healthcare team and delegate appropriate tasks to ancillary personnel
- Deliver direct nursing care to emergency room patients in a fast-paced clinical environment
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required
- Current, valid RN license in the State of Wyoming and in good standing with the Board of Nursing
- Current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or must obtain within 60 days of hire)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 6 months of hire
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification required within 6 months of hire; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 6 months of hire
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in a clinical nursing setting, preferably in an emergency room environment
- Previous hospital experience strongly preferred
- Emergency Nurses Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) certification highly recommended
