Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Travel)

Contract | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical overflow and Telemetry unit
- Manage high-acuity patients with a 1:6 or 1:7 patient ratio
- Administer and monitor IV drips including Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone
- Complete required pre-start modules prior to orientation
- Adhere to facility scheduling requirements including every-other-weekend (EOW) commitment
Required Qualifications
- Active Alabama RN license (compact or AL-specific) in good standing at time of submission
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHS) certification required
- Proficiency with high-acuity patients and vasoactive/cardiac drip management
- Permanent address must be at least 90 miles from the facility (local candidates will not be accepted)
- COVID-19 vaccination required (religious or medical exemption documentation accepted); flu shot required or documented exemption
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred; highly experienced candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Prior experience working in large, high-volume healthcare facilities
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac patient management
