Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a mixed PCU, Oncology, and Medical/Surgical unit serving an adult patient population
- Manage and titrate drips including chemotherapy, heparin, cardizem, and protonix
- Monitor patients using hemodynamic equipment including CVP, A-line, Swan, and EV-1000 as needed
- Perform hourly rounding and maintain patient experience standards throughout the shift
- Float to same-level-of-care units including medical/surgical and PCU floors as needed
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case management, social work, dietician, and unit educators
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience in Oncology and/or PCU settings
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Certification required
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR (recent experience within 6 months preferred for orientation purposes)
- Ability to pass a required open-book skills exam with a minimum score of 90% during orientation
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Alaris IV pumps and ventilator management
- Prior charge nurse experience (minimum 1 year preferred for charge-eligible candidates)
- First-time travelers welcome with qualifying clinical experience
