Key Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for individual patients or an assigned patient group in accordance with established standards of care and the nursing process
- Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff within the Emergency Room setting
- Coordinate patient care with other clinical disciplines to ensure comprehensive and continuous care
- Apply critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment in all aspects of patient care
- Utilize electronic health record systems, including EPIC and Cerner, to document and manage patient information
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from an approved vendor
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM), TEAM-A, or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
- Experience with both EPIC and Cerner electronic health record systems
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Prior acute care facility experience
