Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients presenting with traumatic injuries and acute medical emergencies in a Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document care using Epic electronic health record system
- Electronically record and administer medications in accordance with facility protocols
- Deliver timely, high-quality care across a large, state-of-the-art Emergency Department including fast-track, behavioral health, and private treatment areas
- Collaborate with an experienced, multidisciplinary ED team to manage high-acuity patient populations
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Massachusetts
- BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
- Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system
- Availability to work every other weekend and 2 holiday shifts; limited time-off requests considered, particularly around holidays
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced Emergency Department environment
- Familiarity with behavioral health patient care within an ED setting
