Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required | 2 Holiday Shifts Required | 72 Guaranteed Hours Biweekly (excluding on-call time)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting to patients experiencing accidents, trauma, or acute medical emergencies requiring immediate attention
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and accurately document care using electronic health record systems
- Administer and electronically record all medications delivered to patients in accordance with facility protocols
- Deliver care across a large, state-of-the-art Emergency Department including fast-track, behavioral health, and private treatment areas
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure timely and effective emergency care for all patients
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Massachusetts
- BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
- Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system required
- Must not have worked with the hiring health system (in any capacity — permanent, per diem, or contract) within the past 6 months
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-volume, large-scale Emergency Department environment
- Familiarity with behavioral health patient populations within an ED setting
