RN - Acute Care / Admissions Pending Unit

Contract | Days | 36 hours/week | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 26-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care within a newly established Admissions Pending Unit at a Level II Trauma Center
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for acute care patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient admissions and transitions of care
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
- Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
- Adhere to holiday scheduling requirements as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Active Kansas state license or valid multistate (Compact) RN license — no pending licenses accepted
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required at time of submission
- ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required at time of submission
- Clean license history — no hits on license; no exceptions
- Prior travel nursing experience required — no first-time travelers
- All required licensure and certifications must be current and submitted at time of profile submission; no pending credentials accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Epic EMR
- Background in acute care or medical-surgical nursing
- Familiarity with admissions workflows and patient throughput processes
