Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting
- Operate and monitor the NextStage CVVH machine as part of patient treatment plans
- Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and interpret telemetry rhythms, including identification of lethal arrhythmias
- Float to other units as needed based on staffing and patient care demands
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver high-acuity cardiovascular nursing care
Required Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin RN license required
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum of two years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last three years in the CVICU specialty
- CVICU clinical experience required
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the NextStage CVVH machine required
- Basic Arrhythmia experience required; must pass a telemetry examination prior to start (passing score of 80% or higher, with 100% identification of lethal rhythms)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a Cardiothoracic Surgery setting
- Experience in an Acuity Adaptable care area
