Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required | 2 Holiday Shifts Required | 72 Guaranteed Hours Biweekly (excluding on-call time)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide immediate, high-acuity nursing care to patients presenting with traumatic injuries and medical emergencies in a Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document care using electronic health record systems
- Electronically record and administer medications in accordance with facility protocols
- Deliver skilled nursing care across a large, state-of-the-art Emergency Department including fast-track, behavioral health, and private treatment areas
- Collaborate with an experienced, multidisciplinary ED team to ensure timely and effective patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
- Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system
- Ability to commit to every other weekend and 2 holiday shifts; limited time-off requests considered, particularly around holidays
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-volume, large-scale Emergency Department environment
- Familiarity with computerized charting and electronic medication administration workflows
