Contract | 26 Weeks | 12-Hour Rotating Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required | 2 Holiday Shifts Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide triage and emergency nursing care to patients experiencing accidents or acute medical emergencies requiring immediate attention
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document care using electronic health record systems
- Administer and electronically record medication administration in accordance with facility protocols
- Deliver high-acuity care in a Level 1 Trauma Center environment across a large, state-of-the-art Emergency Department
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across specialized areas including fast-track, behavioral health, and imaging
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Massachusetts
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
- Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-volume, large-scale Emergency Department setting
- Strong triage assessment skills and ability to manage rapidly changing patient conditions
