Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in labor, preterm labor, triage, pre-op, and post-op settings across 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
- Attend all deliveries, including high-risk deliveries, and support GYN surgeries and couplet care
- Administer blood and blood products, and manage specialized equipment including epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, and wound vacs
- Safely administer high-alert medications including heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate
- Perform or assist with cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blanket therapy, and drain management
- Float to Post-Partum or NICU as needed based on skill set, maintaining a staffing ratio of 1:1–3
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact license accepted
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
- Current BLS, FHM, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required
- Must not be a first-time traveler
- 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Current ACLS certification preferred
- Experience with low-risk antepartum care and transition nursery
- Familiarity with high-risk OB patient populations and associated procedures
