Contract | Days | 4x10s, Monday through Friday (rotating day off based on schedule) | Start times between 5:30 AM and 11:00 AM | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients in a fast-paced outpatient surgery and endoscopy environment according to established standards of care and the nursing process
- Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff
- Coordinate patient care with other disciplines utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment
- Manage pre-op and PACU Phase II workflows, including pre-op preparation for complex patient populations
- Administer and monitor moderate sedation while supporting rapid patient turnover
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of California
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Endoscopy experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA or ARC)
- PALS certification (AHA or ARC)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Outpatient surgery and perioperative experience strongly preferred
- Experience with moderate sedation and rapid patient turnover in an outpatient setting
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Acute care facility experience
