Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Circulating)

Contract (13 weeks, possible extension) | Days, 5x8s, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM | On-call required (every 4th weekday, every 4th weekend, some holidays) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Perform circulating RN duties in Ambulatory OR and General OR settings
- Support surgical procedures across multiple specialties including General Surgery, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Endoscopy, and Pediatric General Surgery
- Assist with endoscopic procedures including colonoscopy, EGD, laparoscopic-assisted cases, and PEG tube placement/exchange
- Provide perioperative care in PACU and Endoscopy as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EMR
- Participate in on-call rotation; must be within 30 minutes of facility while on call
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in West Virginia or a Compact state (pending license accepted for submission)
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room experience; 2+ years preferred per compliance requirements
- BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Proficiency in General Surgery, Gynecology, Orthopedic, Ophthalmology, and Endoscopic procedures
- Experience with Cerner EMR
- Permanent address greater than 100 miles from facility (candidates 75–100 miles considered on a case-by-case basis)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- PALS and/or NRP certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Experience with ENT procedures (tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy) and bronchoscopy
- Prior travel nursing experience
