Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, 52-bed freestanding emergency department setting
- Perform IV starts, medication administration, sedation support, and pediatric care using a team nursing model
- Maintain accurate documentation and scanning of patients and medications per unit policy using Meditech EMR
- Manage patient ratios averaging 3:1, with low-acuity assignments up to 5:1, and pediatric team nursing as applicable
- Collaborate with charge nurses, physicians, midlevel providers, techs, and unit clerks across night shift operations
Required Qualifications
- Active Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of emergency department experience
- Prior travel nursing experience or experience in a large emergency department facility
- Proficiency with Alaris infusion equipment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- TNCC certification
- Experience with Meditech EMR
- Prior experience in a 52-bed or larger emergency department
- Strong focus on patient experience and satisfaction
