Position Overview
The Registered Nurse provides high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse medical and post-surgical patient population. This role emphasizes teamwork, strong clinical judgment, and compassionate care in a supportive, mentorship-driven environment focused on professional growth and clinical excellence.
Unit Overview
This 28-bed Medical Unit supports a wide range of patient populations, including:
- Stroke and TIA
- Pancreatitis
- GI bleeds
- Wounds requiring debridement
- Detox and withdrawal
- Pneumonia
- Post-operative recovery
The unit is known for its strong teamwork, collaborative culture, and hands-on learning environment.
Shift Details
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Self-scheduling
- Every 3rd weekend
- Rotating holidays
Compensation & Incentives
- Up to $30,000 sign-on bonus
- Tuition assistance: up to $10,000 over 4 years

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver age-appropriate, individualized nursing care
- Perform ongoing patient assessments and develop/update plans of care
- Implement safe, evidence-based nursing interventions
- Evaluate patient responses and modify care as needed
- Provide thorough handoff communication using SBAR
- Perform technical nursing skills competently and independently
- Maintain professional conduct and contribute to a positive team culture
- Identify and report safety risks and follow established precautions
- Delegate tasks appropriately based on competency and scope of practice
- Utilize resources responsibly and ensure accurate documentation and charging
Requirements
- Active Nebraska RN license or valid compact multistate license
- Current BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross)
- ADN required; BSN or MSN preferred
- ICU consideration requires 2+ years of critical care experience
