Position: Registered Nurse - Endoscopy
Location: Richmond
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 5x8
Experience Required: 2 Years
Weekly Pay: $1870 to $2070

Responsibilities

Provide pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure nursing care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and review medical histories
Prepare patients for procedures and provide education regarding expectations and recovery
Administer medications, IV therapies, and moderate sedation as prescribed
Monitor patient vital signs and condition before, during, and after procedures
Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures
Ensure proper handling, cleaning, and maintenance of endoscopy equipment according to facility standards
Educate patients and families on post-procedure care and discharge instructions
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and quality care standards

Requirements

Active RN License in Virginia
Minimum 2 years of recent Endoscopy, GI Lab, Procedural Nursing, or related experience
Current BLS Certification required
ACLS Certification required
Moderate Sedation experience preferred
Strong patient assessment and monitoring skills
Excellent communication and patient education abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment
Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
