**Exciting Opportunity for RN: Rural Health Primary Care Clinic Traveler!**
Job Description:
- Join a dynamic Rural Health Clinic team in the beautiful Pagosa Springs, Colorado!
- Experience a fulfilling role as an RN, providing high-quality outpatient care.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team: physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, medical assistants, LPNs, and support staff.
- Enjoy a 10-hour weekday shift with no call, weekends, or holiday obligations!
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Perform patient assessments, triage, care planning, treatment implementation, and follow-up.
- Manage patient phone calls, portal messages, and nursing advice using established protocols.
- Administer medications, injections, immunizations, and other clinic-based treatments.
- Conduct point-of-care testing and CLIA-waived laboratory procedures.
- Coordinate care with providers, specialists, and ancillary departments.
- Document accurately and promptly in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Support quality improvement initiatives and patient engagement efforts.
- Serve as a clinical resource for patients and clinic staff.
Required Qualifications:
- Current Colorado RN license or active compact RN license in good standing.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent clinical nursing experience.
- Cerner EMR experience is a must.
- Strong assessment, triage, patient education, and care coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced outpatient clinic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Rural Health Clinic, Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Primary Care.
- Familiarity with immunizations, medication administration, and nursing triage.
- Experience with CLIA-waived laboratory testing.
- Background in supporting quality initiatives and patient engagement programs.
