**Join Our Team as a Night Behavioral Psych RN!**
**Job Description:**
- Execute comprehensive nursing care activities on the Geropsychiatric Unit
- Assess, monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patient conditions
- Maintain accurate patient reports and medical histories
- Perform mental and physical assessments
- Administer medication and treatment to patients
- Provide assistance to patients with daily activities and observe reactions
- Manage activities with the therapeutic milieu, including:
- Daily groups and education
- One-on-one interactions with individual patients
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary treatment team for optimal patient care
- Complete individualized treatment plans for each patient upon admission and ongoing with the team
- Conduct therapies in accordance with patient’s diagnosis and needs
- Perform treatment interventions following physician orders, including:
- Medication administration
- Medical treatment orders
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members
- Create efficient discharge plans and obtain accurate histories at admission
- Complete all required documentation in a timely manner, including:
- Admission paperwork
- Assessments (mental and physical)
- Progress notes
- Evaluations
- Discharge paperwork
- CQI+ data
- Ensure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards and measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and regulatory standards.
**Job Requirements:**
- Education:
- 2-year Associates degree or diploma from a 3-year Nursing program required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Valid State of New Hampshire RN license
- BLS certification required
- Experience:
- 1 year previous nursing experience preferred
- Medical terminology required
- Other Skills Required:
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
**Shift Information:**
- Night Shift 7p-7a
- Holiday Coverage Required: Yes
- Minimum Years of Experience: 3
- Certifications/Requirements: BLS/BCLS
