**Exciting Opportunity for a Registered Nurse in Cardiac Telemetry!**
**Job Description:**
- Join our dynamic team on 5 North, a state-of-the-art MS/Tele unit specializing in cardiac care.
- Shift details:
- Night shifts (3x12 Hour) from 19:00 - 07:00
- Patient ratios: 1:6 days and nights
- Bring your skills to a unit with:
- 36 private rooms catering to adults from young adults to geriatrics
- Focus on patients recovering from cardiac interventions, such as:
- Cardiac surgery
- Coronary artery stent placement
- Pacemaker implant
- Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Travel experience preferred
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)*
- Preferred Skills:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- IV therapy/Phlebotomy
- Accessing/Managing Ports*
- Arterial line management*
- Blood Product Administration
- Central line care/management
- Respiratory care (BiPAP/CPAP management, High Flow Nasal Cannula, etc.)
- Tracheostomy care/management*
- Work Settings Include:
- Cardiac Telemetry, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Gastrointestinal care
- Daily Census:
- Average of 36 patients on the unit
- Interdisciplinary support from:
- Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Social Services, and more
- Float Requirement:
- Yes, flexibility to float to other units as needed
- Orientation Hours:
- 16 hours of comprehensive training
