**Exciting Opportunity for a Night Nurse in the NICU!**
- **Shift:** Nights 7P-7A
- **Weekend Requirement:** 4 weekends every 6 weeks along with two Mondays and two Fridays
- **Patient Ratio:** 1:2, 1:3, or 1:4 with CNA support for 1:4 assignments
- **NICU Level:** 4, caring for feeder growers to complex ICU neonatal patients
**Job Responsibilities:**
- Demonstrate clinical independence and awareness in a Level 4 NICU setting
- Provide both routine and complex nursing care, focusing on long-range goals and plans
- Embrace the role of a Leader through OneCHRISTUS Competencies
- Utilize nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
- Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
- Administer medications and treatments, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
- Document patient history, symptoms, and care provided
- Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers
**Job Requirements:**
- **Education:** Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
- **Experience:** 1 year in related nursing specialty preferred
- **Certifications:**
- Current BLS Certification (AHA only)
- Current STABLE certification (Post-resuscitation/Pre-transport Care of Sick Infants)
- Current NRP Certification
- RN License in Texas or compact state
**Position Requirements:**
- Attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire
- Precepted by trained staff member upon hiring, with competency validations
- Complete all annual competency verification requirements
- Experience in a Perinatal RN Residency or recent practice in a Perinatal Setting preferred
