ER RN Opportunity
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of Emergency Room RN experience required
- First-time travelers accepted
- Must have Level II Trauma experience or higher
- Must be willing to work Charge Nurse assignments
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
- NIH and TNCC certifications preferred
- Locals not accepted (Indiana residents not eligible)
Required Skills:
- General Emergency Department (Adult & Pediatric) experience
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Phlebotomy
- IV starts
- Continuous IV sedation
- IV vasopressor administration
- Procedural sedation administration
- CPAP/BiPAP
- Ventilator patient care
- Isolation precautions
Shift Requirements:
Floating Requirements:
- Floating is required for all travelers
- May float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed
Unit Information:
- 48-bed Emergency Department with capacity to flex up to 62 beds using hall beds when needed
- Standard patient ratio will not exceed 1:4 for regular ED patients
- Hold assignments may include:
- Progressive care holds: 4:1 ratio
- Medical holds: 5:1 ratio
- Averages approximately 6.6 behavioral health patients per day
Pre-Screening Requirement:
Candidates must be comfortable working in a high-volume trauma center environment, including behavioral health patient populations, hold assignments, and flexible staffing arrangements. Confirmation of comfort with these conditions is required prior to submission.
