RN - Cardiovascular Surgery
Location: Plantation, Florida
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:45 AM - 5:15 PM with on-call requirements approximately every other day and every other weekend
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate health care services for patients before, during and after surgical procedures
- Ensure sterile procedures are followed throughout the course of surgery and necessary equipment and medications are available for the operating room team
- Record progress and outcomes of surgical procedures and ensure proper handling of specimens
- Provide quality control and ensure patient safety at all times
- Collaborate with the surgical team to deliver exceptional cardiovascular care
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Florida or compact license
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years current experience in acute CVOR setting
- Experience with CABG, MVR, AVR, pacemaker procedures preferred
- Ability to function well independently in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Open Heart instrumentation and supplies
- TEE equipment and Ultrasound
- Meditech documentation system
- Minimally invasive cardiac procedures experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and sterile technique
