Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population in a busy Level 2 trauma center
- Collaborate with a supportive, welcoming team known for exceptional teamwork and real-time coaching
- Float within all sections of the Emergency Department while maintaining excellent patient experience standards
- Document efficiently using Cerner and stay current with AIDET communication practices
- Respond confidently to medical emergencies using ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license with at least 2 years of nursing experience and 1 year in an ER setting
- Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required before start date
- ENPC certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire
- Preferred experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ visits)
- Previous HCA experience is a plus
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and give feedback in real time
- Flexibility to work across all areas of the Emergency Department
- Proficiency with Cerner documentation and Baxter pumps, GE monitors
- Commitment to patient experience through AIDET and respectful interactions
- Comfort working with behavioral health patients and varying patient ratios
