Job Description
Diagnose and stage various cancers through thorough clinical assessments, imaging, and laboratory tests.
Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient, incorporating chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies.
Monitor and manage patient progress, adjusting treatment protocols as necessary.
Manage treatment-related side effects and provide supportive care to enhance patient quality of life.
Educate patients and their families about their diagnosis, treatment options, and potential outcomes.
Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families throughout the cancer journey.
Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, certified oncology nurses, nurse practitioners, and oncology navigators to ensure coordinated, multidisciplinary care.
Participate in clinical trials, research initiatives, and quality improvement projects to advance oncology care.
Stay current on clinical guidelines, treatment breakthroughs, and evidence-based practices in oncology.
Mentor and provide guidance to other healthcare staff in oncology-related practices.
Contribute to patient care planning and department initiatives to improve overall outcomes and efficiency.
