Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuously monitor patient conditions
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and critical care treatments as prescribed
- Operate and monitor ventilators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, and other specialized equipment
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Respond promptly to emergencies and changes in patient condition
- Assist with critical procedures and patient stabilization efforts
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery processes
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care standards
Requirements
- Active RN License in New Hampshire
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU or Critical Care nursing experience
- Current BLS Certification required
- ACLS Certification required
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Experience with ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and vasoactive drips preferred
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced critical care environment
