Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift
Direct Hire | Full-Time | 12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
A well-established, community-focused healthcare organization in Berlin, MD is hiring a Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) for a permanent, full-time night shift role. This opportunity offers 12-hour shifts, rotating weekends, and competitive compensation, along with a supportive clinical environment.
The Med Surg RN provides care for a diverse patient population including post-operative, chronic, and general medical cases. This is a fast-paced, team-oriented setting ideal for nurses who enjoy variety and hands-on patient care.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Permanent, full-time role
Medical-Surgical Unit
Mixed patient population (post-op, chronic, general medical)
Typical assignment of 4–6 patients per RN
Collaborative, team-focused environment
SHIFT DETAILS
Full-time, 12-hour shifts
Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Rotating weekends required
Shift differentials available
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide direct patient care in a Med Surg setting
Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
Develop and implement individualized care plans
Educate patients and families on treatment and recovery
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes
REQUIREMENTS
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (MD or compact)
American Heart Association BLS certification (required)
Previous Med Surg experience preferred (new grads may be considered)
Must be authorized to work in the United States (sponsorship not available)
COMPENSATION & INCENTIVES
Hourly pay range: based on experience
