What You'll Do as a Respiratory Therapist
- Administer therapeutic gases, mechanical ventilation, BiPAP/CPAP, and the full range of respiratory treatments
- Perform advanced procedures including intubation, arterial line insertions, mini-BALs, chest physiotherapy, and CPR
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and adjust therapy based on clinical response
- Respond to rapid response and code events across ICU, Emergency Department, NICU, PICU, and inpatient units
- Collaborate with pulmonologists, intensivists, nurses, and other interdisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Document all patient care, assessments, and interventions accurately and timely in the medical record
What You Bring
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care required; Bachelor's preferred
- Maryland Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) licensure required
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care required within 1 year of hire
- 1–3 years of respiratory therapy experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotations are encouraged to apply
- Certified Respiratory Therapists (CRT) working toward RRT credentialing will be considered
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required at hire
- ACLS and PALS certifications required within 1 year of hire
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a team-first approach to patient care
