**Exciting Opportunity for an OR Registered Nurse!**
**Job Description:**
- Join a dynamic team as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room (OR) on the Day Shift!
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for patients.
- Take accountability for the quality of nursing services delivered by yourself and other team members.
- Utilize specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills to ensure exceptional patient care.
**Essential Functions:**
- Assess diverse patient needs:
- Physical
- Psychological

- Discharge planning
- Collaboratively formulate comprehensive plans of care, focusing on:
- Patient-specific needs
- Realistic and measurable goals
- Multidisciplinary teamwork
- Implement care plans through:
- Direct patient care
- Coordination and delegation of health care activities
- Compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Evaluate patient and family responses to care and teaching, adjusting plans as necessary.
- Document all aspects of care in a timely, legible, and comprehensive manner.
- Engage in evidence-based practices and contribute to clinical research activities.
- Support the education and development of staff, patients, and families through mentoring and precepting.
- Participate in improving nursing quality indicators and outcomes through active engagement.
- Provide peer direction and support to enhance quality care and services.
**Physical Demands:**
- Stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently.
- Maintain physical agility and quick reaction time for unexpected patient needs.
- Use proper body mechanics for patient handling and ensure safety precautions.
- Communicate effectively in various formats (reading, writing, speaking).
- Lift up to 75 pounds as necessary, utilizing standard precautions.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
- Associate’s Degree, Diploma in Nursing, or higher.
- Current, valid RN license in state of practice.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- One year of licensed RN experience in an OR setting.
- Newly licensed RNs must enroll in a PeriOp101 program.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Additional experience in OR or perioperative nursing strongly preferred.
**Shift Information:**
- Seeking experienced OR RNs to support increased case volume!
- Hours: 0630-1600, Monday to Friday.
- Skills in ENT (Adults and Peds), Spine, Podiatry, Ortho hand are a plus.
- Experience with Endo/colorectal procedures is highly desirable.
