Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Minimum Qualifications

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program, or foreign equivalent when applicable. Required for licensing when obtained on or after January 2016.
Active California Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per facility policy. AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS required.
ICU experience preferred but not required.
Two years of physical therapy experience preferred.

Assignment Details

Shift hours: 0800 - 1700.
Workweek: 5x8 schedule.
Schedule includes a weekend rotation: every third weekend.
No on-call requirement.

Impacting Patient Care

Plans and conducts segments of treatment programs designed to restore and improve physical, social, and mental functions while meeting department objectives. Serves as co-leader in an interdisciplinary approach to patient care. This role supports hospital goals for quality outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Templeton is centrally located on California's Central Coast, near Paso Robles and 30–40 minutes from San Luis Obispo and the Pacific coast. The area offers vineyard regions such as Paso Robles wine country and outdoor options including hiking in nearby Los Padres National Forest and coastal access at Morro Bay. The region provides a suburban, small-town lifestyle with farmers markets, local dining, and a short drive to larger urban centers for cultural events and regional airports.
