Minimum Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
Active Maine state SLP license required to begin assignment.
BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
Experience working in skilled nursing facilities preferred.
Experience with dysphagia evaluation and management preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with interdisciplinary care planning in post-acute settings.
Familiarity with electronic medical record documentation in skilled nursing environments.
Strong bedside evaluation and treatment planning skills for geriatric populations.

Assignment Details

Shift hours: 0800-1630.
Work days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
Position is based at a skilled nursing facility. Candidate may be expected to coordinate across departments within the facility.

Impacting Patient Care

Provide evidence-based SLP services to a geriatric population in a skilled nursing setting. You will support functional communication, safety in swallowing, and discharge planning. Documentation and collaboration with nursing, rehabilitation, and medical staff will impact patient outcomes and quality of life.
