About the Clinician's Workday

The cardiothoracic surgeon will provide 24-hour call coverage for OR and emergency cases following the resignation of a full-time equivalent physician. The clinician will perform first assist procedures with RN support while managing all cardiothoracic surgical interventions as required by the facility. Board certification in cardiothoracic surgery and prescriptive authority are mandatory requirements with all documentation completed through the Meditech Expanse EMR system. The position involves responding to emergency consultations, managing surgical cases, and ensuring continuous coverage for the cardiothoracic surgery service line.
