Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to accurately interpret physician scanning instructions, prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, and operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong patient care, imaging technique, and equipment safety practices in an acute care hospital setting.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography or MRI.
- MRI advanced level certification and state licensure as required by Kentucky.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as an MRI Technologist in an acute care or hospital environment. Experience with high-acuity imaging, trauma protocols, or advanced neuro/cardiac MRI preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Prior experience operating MRI scanners during overnight hours and performing patient monitoring for sedated or immobile patients is preferred.
- Candidates must meet client-specific credential requirements prior to start. Client may require additional certifications. Refer to LPNT checklist for latest requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a 200+ bed acute care facility or regional hospital.
- Familiarity with spine and neuro imaging protocols given onsite neurosurgery and Spine Center services.
- Experience with patient assessment, IV access for contrast administration, and contrast safety procedures.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 2300-0700.
- Shift name: Nights.
- Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays.
- Candidates must be 60 miles or greater to be considered for travel status.
- All travelers must have required certifications prior to start. Client reserves the right to require additional certifications.
