Carilion Clinic is seeking a full-time academic faculty to join our Gastroenterology Division. Opportunities are available in Roanoke and Christiansburg, Virginia. This opportunity is ideal for those with strong clinical skills and a commitment to academic medicine, with the expectation of teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. The GI Division has a fellowship program enrolling 4 fellows per year. There are exciting opportunities for clinical and translational research collaborating with faculty at the Fralin Biomedical Institute at VTC and the main campus of Virginia Tech University in nearby Blacksburg. As a member of the faculty at Carilion Clinic, you will have an appointment at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine located on our campus.

Roanoke is in the heart of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains at the southern tip of Virginia's Shenandoah Valley in Southwest Virginia. A beautiful 22,000-acre lake is just a short drive from town, offering superb bass fishing, boating, and swimming. For those loving the outdoors, Roanoke offers a mild four-season climate. With the Appalachian Trail and the Blue Ridge Parkway close by, skiing, hiking, and biking are all close at hand. Roanoke also offers great shopping, fantastic restaurants, its own symphony orchestra, live theatre, opera, ballet, and many other culturally diverse attractions. The region has an excellent public-school system, and there are six colleges and universities within an hours' drive.
