Job Description Industry: Affordable Housing / Multifamily Property Management Overview: Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and service-driven Leasing Coordinator (Bilingual Spanish/English) to support leasing operations within an affordable housing community. This role is responsible for managing prospect activity, guiding applicants through the leasing process, and ensuring all documentation meets program compliance standards. The ideal candidate brings a strong customer service mindset, sales awareness, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, regulated environment while helping drive occupancy and resident satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Manage inbound and outbound leasing activity, including phone, email, and in-person inquiries Conduct property tours and follow up with prospects to convert qualified leads Maintain and track waitlists, applications, and leasing pipeline activity in the property management system Pre-screen applicants and assemble complete lease files in accordance with affordable housing program requirements Process move-ins, recertifications, and renewals while ensuring accuracy and compliance Verify income, assets, and household composition to determine eligibility for affordable housing programs Ensure adherence to applicable guidelines, including LIHTC, HUD, and local housing program requirements Prepare and organize applicant files for review by internal compliance or occupancy teams Coordinate resident events, open houses, and outreach efforts to generate qualified traffic Monitor market conditions, including competitor activity and pricing trends, to support leasing strategy Provide regular reporting on traffic, applications, conversion ratios, and occupancy performance Maintain accurate resident records and ensure timely completion of documentation Deliver a high level of customer service to both prospects and current residents to support retention Support marketing and outreach initiatives within the local community Provide notary services, if applicable Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in leasing, property management, sales, hospitality, or customer-facing roles Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly Experience working in affordable housing environments or familiarity with compliance-driven processes preferred Working knowledge of income verification and financial document review (pay stubs, tax returns, etc.) Familiarity with rent/income calculations based on housing program guidelines is a plus Proficiency with property management systems (such as Yardi, RealPage, OneSite, or similar) preferred High level of organization with the ability to manage deadlines and maintain accuracy Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education a plus Real estate or leasing license preferred or willingness to obtain Key Competencies: Strong attention to detail and accuracy Accountability and follow-through on tasks and deadlines Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion Proactive problem-solving and adaptability Collaborative approach with a resident-focused mindset Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
