Case Mix: General Surgery, Trauma, Vascular Access

Specialty Backup Available: Trauma Surgeons (on call from home)

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

General Surgical case ADULT

General Surgical case TRAUMA

Central Line insertion

Chest Tube Insertion

Vascular Access Devices

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Board: Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C)

Licenses: Active Michigan License

DEA: Active DEA required

Certifications: ACLS, ATLS

Duties & Responsibilities

Provide inpatient trauma call coverage overnight, responding to traumas and surgical emergencies

Perform procedures including central line insertion, chest tube insertion, and placement of vascular access devices

Evaluate and manage adult general surgery and trauma patients

Collaborate with on-call trauma surgeons and other healthcare team members

Document patient care in Cerner EMR
